yeah that's him - we had to trace that through his father name and occupation in york from his marriage cert. |

On his marriage cert. his father was a fitter called Frank Grainger. So I'm afraid this one doesn't fit. On the 1901 he is down as - Geo Grainger 1860 born York registered Lincolnshire Clee- Retired Fisherman. |

It's down as York. Some have Yorks on it though - as in Yorkshire. My thoughts are that it's York though. |

Hi Sophie - thanks for that - they are all a bit to late on the birth dates - are you able to search with birth dates at all, as we think he was born c1860??? |
