Hi, I'm desperate to find out any information on my grandad William Osborne.

He was born around 1880, and his mother died in childbirth, then his father disowned him and his uncle brought him up. It is possible he wasn't registered. There is some confusion as to whether he was born in London and then moved to the Portsmouth area, or the other way round.

He married Clara Wilding in 1926 in Blackburn, then moved to the Lambeth Palace Road in London, and had seven children (Margaret, William, Bob, Clara, Alan, Olive and Brenda) between 1927-1939.

Let me know if you want to take a look at my tree.

Any help at all would be appreciated as I can't find anything at all.

Thanks very much.
