Hi

I am looking for a marriage of a William Stapleton b.1840 in Langthorne, to a Jane Russell b.about 1843.
The oldest child was born 1867 in Langthorne near Bedale.
Any help would be appreciated,thankyou.

had a look too and the only one coming up for Bedale was an Ann Price

couldnt see them on 1871 but found them on 1881 ,
take it you have one of the childrens birth certs that gives her name??

only one man and one woman on index so far but he is William S Langthorne.
I wonder if it might be an error and his place of residence has been given as his surname.

Jane's parents were Miles and Jane Russell so she was not married before.

The one in Northallerton is a possibility.

I think the marriage in Northallerton is looking likely. I will have to send for the certificate now, just to put my mind at rest!
