I have not found the marriage on index's that you quote, but it is odd that
on the 1871 Mary Lumb is shown as Sister in Law of Joseph.
Could Emma have been a Lumb married before to a Gledhill.??????

If she was born Slaithwaite, according to IGI she probably had a twin sister as there was also an Ellen Gledhill baptised on the same day 14-4-1845, parents of both Samuel & Sarah.

On 1851 census they are down as born & living at Golcar.

If she was 27 at marriage, then one of these records should be her

Emma Gledhill born 1843/4 where was she born was it Huddersfield Slaithwaite or Scammonden,at the time of her marriage on the 11/6/1870 to Joseph Pearson she was 27yrs old and living at Dean Head Scammonden,there is no fathers name on her marriage certificate,also she and Joseph had a daughter Annie born 1874,al information g ratefully received.I would also like to say thankyou to Pam who has helped me in my previous searches
