~Mama*HOTLIPS* Rambo~ Report 1 Dec 2007 19:06

Hi

I have just recieved the marriage cert for William Richardson and Mary Brown who are my G.Grandparents. From the info I have researched Williams father was non existant as on all the cenuses he was with his mother Elizabeth Richardson, but on his cert he has a father William Richardson (deceased)(coalminer).

Also Mary Brown whos father is down as Thomas Lambert (farmer), from my records her father was called Joseph Brown and they were from Haydon Bridge, Northumberland.

They were married on the 16th Feb 1889 at Whitehaven.

Could anyone enlighten me on anything I have written?

sorry if it is a jumble but I can't put it down anyother way.

Catherine

a) it could be the wrong marriage certificate.

b) maybe William made up a father's name (was Elizabeth down as married on the census)

Where did your original information come from about Mary Brown's father...

...Not the easiest of names to research are they...lol

Gail.
