Oh, aargh. I must have picked the wrong George Luxford birth; it matches this death:

This must be the husband:

This must be the death of their daughter:


Name: Lizzie Luxford
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1890
Year of Registration: 1890
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
Age at Death: 0
District: East Grinstead
County: Surrey, Sussex
Volume: 2b
Page: 103


And there are lots of Luxfords in East Grinstead in 1891, but no George and Lizzie. (George and Leacy are actually George and Lucy -- could that be an error in the original? His birthplace doesn't match, though.)


Trying to find Lizzie in a census after marriage, where we know it's her, to get her birth date and place ...

No record of any other Lizzie Luxford death after 1890.


I'm giving up. All I can find is a slightly older George born in East Grinstead with wife Louisa.

If you have the marriage certificate, does it not give ages for Lizzie and George? How about George's occupation?

If you don't have that certificate and that info, I think you're going to have to get it!

How old was Lizzie when she married? Could this be her?

can anyone help in trying to trace my gt grandmother
lizzie freeman who married a george william luxford in 1883 at the parish church sutton surrey we are trying to find out her birth details and who her parents were we know her father was called louis freeman
