Hi Sylvia, The Aus National Archives has this: Henry James Pocock b13.5.1908 & Margaret Ann Pocock nee Newton b 23.11.1914 travelled on 'Dorsetshire' dep L'pool 6/9/50. ........ The National Library of Australia has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (query form on-line) -they will check their records -including electoral rolls. (couldn't see their deaths on RYERSON INDEX which has newspaper death notices for NSW/ Canberra to present day). -Valerie (WA)

Hi Valerie thanks for that.
I had found the immigration record but the Nat Lib service sounds like a good idea.
I'm not sure if they stayed in Canberra, as Henry was an engineer and I have a feeling he might have been lured to the Snowy Mountain scheme.

My Mum and Dad talked about going over for that, but with a young family they must have had second thoughts.
cheers Sylvia
