i have hit a brick wall maybe someone will be able to help .i am searching for a william overton listed on my grandmothers birth cert. as the father - clara rose overton and that of her brother william overton.
clara was born 28/10/1893 and william 25/06/1896.
william overton is listed as the father and that he was a commercial traveller,
their mother was listed as martha emma overton late wass, nee sage.however i do not think they were ever married as i cannot find a marriage and then on the 17/07/1897 martha married a william batty and was listed as martha emma wass widow
they lived in camberwell 157 vernay rd and then 129 ormside st old kent rd. the time was between the census of 1891 and 1901
i am just not sure where to go from here
