I have just received a cpoy of my Grandparents marriage certifacate they are Charles Robert Clack (1875) and Sarah Ann Gallimore (c1875) they lived in Rode Heath ,Stoke-On-Trent

where they got married in 1898,their fathers names were Thomas Henry Clack and John Gallimore
.I don't know where they were born.Could this be the right family for Thomas Clack?.

what is the occupation of the fathers on the marriage cert.

could this be Charles and father in 1881

His occupation on the marriage certifacate is farm labour. Just found the same Thomas on the 1901 census and his occupation is still down as coachman. (Another red herring)

Have you found Charles and Sarah on the 1901?

I can't - do you know when their first child was born and what the name was?

I think you need to find them on the 1901 to get POBs for searching back on previous censuses

Hi Potty, There first child Amy Florence Clack was born Sep 1900 in Nantwich,Cheshire.she died 1970 still living in the same area. I have her birth certificate,but can't find her or the family on the 1901 census.

Can't see why Thomas Henry would be listed as a farmer labourer when in fact he was a groom. But that is the only census records i have been able to find that would seem to fit with a Charles being with a Thomas as father, but will look again
