His mother was in Lancashire in 1939:

Thank you both for your replies,

I had found a death for a James Joseph Nevin in 1958 in Fylde and did wonder if this could possibly be him, the newspaper notice 1955 has age 50 and death 3yrs later matches his year of birth, another cert to order.

I know Honor was in Ireland in 1922 so possibly was in Newton in Makerfield as other family in area, before moving to Manor Road which remained in family to 1980.
