	OK Emma, thanks. Don't know why I'm looking at more new books to read, I must have a shelf (shelves in fact) full of books waiting to be read. I forgot to mention my current read..'A Loyal Spy' by Simon Conway. I bought it for my hubby but he didn't get round to it quick enough so I started and now just can't put it down! It's what I'd call a bloke's book really - secret ops, MI5, MI6, SAS, Taliban, Afghanistan, War lords, terrorist plot blah blah blah. It's great if that's your kind of thing ;-) Karen

	Oooh yes Mersey... 'Clara's War' sounds like one for me :-) If you are enjoying it then may I recommend these 'Between Shades of Gray' by Ruta Sepetys. It's the true story of a 15 yr old Lithuanian girl taken prisoner by the Soviets in 1941 (with her mother and brother) and set to hard labour in Siberia. Perhaps I felt it particularly meaningful because of my Lithuanian background, but I still think it's worth a read to anyone who is interested in this particular cjhapter of WWII . 'Joe's War - my Father Decoded' by Annette Kobak is another great book, and another true story of a someone caught up on the wrong side of the wrong border atthe worng time! He was born on the Polish/Czech border, fled the Nazis, captured by Russians, fought for the Poles in France and escaped to the UK. His daughter writes the story. Worth a read. Got to go now and look up Bring up the Bodies , not heard of that before I looked in on here. Seems it's very popular :-0 Karen

	Haven't managed to get to the library recently. Been very busy doing other things. Have however got to my local charity shop, where they sell three paperbacks for a pound! Am now reading "The Golden Prince" by Rebecca Dean. It starts in 1911 and the Prince of the title is Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, later Edward V111 and The Duke of Windsor. A fictional story about young David (as he was called in the family) as a teenaged navy cadet. He meets by chance a lovely young girl called Lily, who is from a "good" family but not Royal. The young couple fall in love .... The story takes us through the Coronation and the Investiture of The Prince of Wales, ass well as many other factual events An easy to read way to get to know about "the feel" of the times, before women had the vote and approaching the Great War. Haven't finished it yet, but interesting plus informative and amusing so far.

	Good Afternnon my Ickle Book Worms :-) <3 Well ive finally finished Lilians story, I agree with Muffy it was ok but not the best :(..... Im now reading Claras War written by Clara Kramer, this is a memoir of Claras life starting from the age of 15 in Poland in 1942...Despite the worst of circumstances this is a story full of hope, survival, courage and love.... :-)

	Morning all, Finished 'Abandoned Women' and now reading the sequel to 'Wolf Hall' by Hilary Mantel. So far am enjoying 'Bring up the Bodies' didn't think it would come down in price so had to get it. As 'Wolf Hall' was a good read looks like this one is going to be the same. :-) Emma

	OH bought me 'Bring up the Bodies' for my birthday :-D. I was waiting for the paperback but apparently this won't be out until next year as it is shortlisted for the Booker. I guess 'they' want to maximise the revenue. I'm enjoying it very much - better even than Wolf Hall :-D.

	Am nearly finished Wolf Hall (not as fast as Emma!) and can't wait to get the next one which is up for a Booker prize I believe, not that that means much I suppose. A good read is a good read :-D <3
