Hi rosemary we have spoken before

I'm niot quite sure but on the 1871 census it list a charles mouncey living with a rebecca davis charles davis and rebecca davis then on the 1881 census it list the same family but with rebecca senior and the childrren listed as having the surname mouncey but spelt mousey. I have yet been unable to find the marriage cert for charles mouncey and rebecca davis, but i suspect this is the same family, the spelling greatly varies over time. I believe it could easily have been spelled mountsey by the time it reached my gg gran rebecca mountsey as I have recorded via my living relative who remember their gran.
