Brian Adam.
I am trying to find the birth of George Adam (about 1778), he married Elizabeth Fleeming at Inverkeithing Fife 08 July 1804.
Children were Jean b 1805 Fife; John b 1810 at Inverkeithing; Janet b 1814 at Cockpen Midlothian; Archibald b Dundee 1816; William b Dundee 1819; George b Dundee 1821.
George is recorded in the death certificates of John and Janet as a meal miller.
I can not find the death details of George, but most likely in Dundee where he is a Weaver on the births of three sons in Dundee.
I am decended from the son John Adam who started a plasterers business in Dundee, he died 1895.
There is a possibility George was born in Kirriemuir to a John Adam.
Elizabeth Fleeming (or Fleaming) may be from Beath in Fife
