Alexander McCulloch born 1890 Glasgow Died 1960 Glasgow m Jane McKeon sept 1921 Govan Glasgow Know of 2 children Christina and Barbara believe there may have been cpl sets of twins but cant find any trace of them Any help trying to trace them would be appreciated

are you sure about the spellings of the names

I cannot find any marriage on scotlandspeople that match

However there is a marriage for in Govan in 1921 between Alexander McCulloch and Mary Jane McEwan

Their marriage cert has Jane as Mary Jane McEwan or Fenton (widow) m Alexander McCulloch
Her birth cert has her as Jane McKeon
Her death cert has her as Mary Jane McCulloch

on scotlandspeople a search for deaths of people with the surname M*Culloch and mother's maiden name McEwan?

there are 9 possibilities between 1920 and 2005 (women are registered in their maiden name)

you could then work out when they were born and search the birth records from the names and ages given and see if any match

There are 3 possibilities for deaths of the surname Fenton with mother's maiden name McEwan between 1920 and 2005

tnks will look at them seem to be getting nowhere fast

Have had a look at Scotlandspeople and know for certain the 2 of the children are there Christina and Isabella who was from her previous marriage Still baffled abt the 2 poss 3 sets of twins

Christine, you're not helping yourself or anyone else by spreading this family around over multiple threads. It only results in pointless questions/searching by others, and it isn't in keeping with the rule against duplicate threads.

Why you would give her name here as McKeon and not mention that she married as McEwan (and so probably used that name for her children's birth registrations) ...

Christine, the records that you require i.e. births in Scotland after 1909 can be accessed in two ways. You can search on Scotlandspeople and if you see possible entries order the certificates to checkout the parents details. This can be rather expensive as I think it may cost upward of £10 per certificate. The other way would be to visit the Scotlandpeople Centre in Edinburgh and buy a £10 day pass. You can then look at as many recent register entries as time permits. You cannot take printouts of these entries but are free to make notes of the contents.

Please Grow up Christine you are not doing youself any favours.

Oh and when you mentioned about Janey typing in capitals, I think it was your previous threads she had just copied and pasted
