Does anyone have any idea where this boys name originates from, anyone else got it in their tree?
I have been trying to find out about this name for months......this is my last hope!

if you search the name on freebmd seems most come from Wales

quite a few from Merthyr Tydfil

I have two Alqin's in my family tree on my maternal grandmothers side. They all seem to originate from Aberdare in Glamorganshire,Wales
The first was born in 1871 and the other in 1901 but sadly only lived for six weeks.
