According to 1911 census she was born in America, but it doesn't say where - but she was British by parentage: |

Hoped to find her with parents, but no luck in 1891 - this looks like her in 1901 staying in what looks like a boarding house - but no address on the record, just Marylebone: |

Well, this 'could' be her arrival but unfortunately there is no detail on there to prove it. |

Dea it says Woman and along side the Miss Thomson it says Single. |

It seems that Nellies father was a William Hendrie Thomson, Bookkeeper and as he (or someone of that name) was at her wedding in 1904, he must have travelled over to the U.K. at some point. |

Mel - thanks for looking, but can you take another look please as in the column for occupation which is between the name and the single bit, there is a VERY feint word which I cannot make out. (On the line re 'Mrs') |

I presume Lambeth is where they were born? |

Flip | Report | 8 Mar 2011 07:57 |
No, not witnesses they were another couple getting married and registered on the same page as your couple - it's just how it appears on freebmd. If you want more on the marriage you'll need a copy of the certificate. |
