I wonder if anyone has access to Parish Records for the Hamlet of Howgill, in the township of Sedbergh, Yorkshire.
I am looking to find the baptisms of
(a) Mary, daughter of Rowland Atkinson and wife Mary.
and
(b) Mary, daughter of Thomas Atkinson and wife Mary.
It is the addresses of the parents that I am interested in. I am particularly interested to see if Thomas Atkinson lived in Howgill in 1834-5. He is on the 1841 C as being at Cockle Street, Sedbergh and in following years in Sedbergh.
I know Howgill and Sedbergh are close, but if someone could give me evidence of him definately living at Howgill pre 1841 that would be great. The baptism or birth of daughter Mary in the Parish Records would maybe help to prove this.
I am not looking for census info on the family as I have that, it's just I am trying to find out where the daughter Mary was born c 1834-5.

Thanks for the info. There is much confusion and no consistency with the names of the places. Sometimes its Howgill, sometimes Sedbergh. The children of Rowland are sometimes christened at Howgill, sometimes Sedbergh. I am sure they were christened at the same church as the family seem fixed at one address.
