My wifes mother Gladys Violet Atkinson born about 1918 she was an orphan married Patrick Caufield on the 27/june/1942 had 2 sons 1 daughter both sons deceased she died in 1954 TY

To all the people who answered me my apologise but I have the wrong maiden name thru a letter I recieve from a law firm in UK it seems I should be looking for a Gladys Violet Atkinson as they (after 15 years) forwarded some papers they had lost & I now have a birth certificate Marridge certificate & a death certificate to all the people that replied on Gibson TY all for your replies & help & accept my deep apologise TY again Errol Ward (prez)

Do you know where she was born? I believe you may have mentioned Roscommon which is Ireland ???

More info We think her fathers name was Frank atkinson & she worked at a hospital in Hall Avenue in west derby nursing we think sick soldiers that is where her & patrick met

theres are only the two birth records for that name so she has to be one of them .seems more the first one if she died before her next birthday.Plus its the right area if she stayed locally

The name on her Birth Certificate is Frank Atkinson & when my wife was born they moved from Mersey side to Essex London as Dad worked for Ford all his life he was in the Army during 2 war when they met she seemed to be his nurse TY for your help Shirley its greatly Appreciated sorry about the Sprlling LOL

so you have her birth cert ??? or do you mean the marriage cert. does the cert say Frank deceasd? sometimes a fathers name was stated to cover up illgitimancy!!

If it is marriage cert I would'nt take much notice of that, as I have seen in my own family made up names to cover up illigitamacy.
Thinking about it my ex husband was going to put father unknown on our wedding cert because he left when he was 14 andhad nothing to do with him

Yes the Father is deceased on the certificate gee ty for the woderful help my wife has had a few tears as she knows nothing much about her mother I hope I find more as she is happy as larry at the moment
