James ATKINSON I am researching my family tree and have come across a James ATKINSON b 1850 in Shap, Westmorland. In 1881, he was Innkeeper at the Shoulder of Mutton Inn in Brough, Westmorland. He married an Isabella (presumably before 1872) and they had 4 children: Anne E (1872), Sarah (1873), Mary (1878) and John (1880). Sarah was, I believe, my maternal grandmother. All the above comes from the 1881 census. Does anybody have any other information? Does the Shoulder of Mutton still exist (perhaps with another name as I have Googled for it without success). Thanks, Steve DENTON
