Hello everyone, I've only just started to research my family tree on my Father's side and have come to a stop and don't know where to go from here. His name was Harry Atkinson, b1926. He had a brother Bryan, b1931. My father was born in Chester le Street, Co. Durham. His parents(my grandparents) were Harry Atkinson, don't know date of birth, only that he was a Yorkshireman and Emily Ellen (Nellie), whose maiden name was Alderson. They lived in Sacriston for as long as I can remember. There were links with Whitby as we used to visit an Auntie Jessie there when I was a child. If anyone has heard of any of these relatives, I'd be most grateful. I apologise for my ignorance, but anyone who could have helped has now passed on. |
