John Atkinson who married Phoebe Carter 17 November 1811 in Hamsterley Durham. Believed they had at least two children Isabella and Thomas who were both christened at St. Paul's Blackburn on same date, 6th July 1824. Thomas migrated to Australia circa 1854 and lived in Warrnambool Victoria where he married 20 February 1855. Died 17 June 1882 and is buried in Warrnambool. We know little about John and Phoebe and less about John's parents, John Atkinson and Mary Gair. Thanks to Judy of the States I have a little more knowledge now.
