Trying to find Authbert

Hello! I am trying to trace me members of the Authbert family. It is an extremely unusual name in this country. It originated in Belgium I believe. I would really like to talk to other members who may have photographs or information. I also have a little bit of information which I am willing to share. I have been told that they were contractors who came to the newton on Ouse area near York but although they were living in that area I have found no information to back up the contractors theory. I just know that they were flax scutchers at the local mill. ( does this have any connection to linen in Belgium? ) I look forward to anyone who would be able to help me. Jane
