Trying to find Ball

Anyone have any information about Balls from Tarleton/Southport in Lancashire? I have Richard Ball b1793 Tarleton, married to Alice b1792 Tarleton with 3 children: Alice, Thomas and Jane all born in the same area. Jane went on to move to Bolton and give birth to Richard in the workhouse. I think Richard's mother was Jane b1771 . Any more information would be appreciated.

Hello Janet

I have recently discovered that I I have a relative Sarah Ellen Durham who married Arthur Ball in 1928 in Southport. They had 2 childen Joseph Alan 1931 - 1999 and Arthur 1937 - ?.

Arthur was born in 1906 in Hesketh Bank and his father was a Thomas Ball agricultural labourer born around 1881 in Hesketh Moss.

I understand that there are many Balls or Bauls in this area and the name can be traced back to the 1500s.
