Family of John Hollister Barnes. The family are listed on the 1901 census as living at Dodwell Farm, Bursledon, Southampton. John was farm bailiff there. John's dob c1841, Selina his wife 1850 and their children Caroline c1868, George c1873, John 1879 and Florence c1880. Believe 2 oldest children are from a 1st marriage to Elizabeth c1848. Family originate from Cricklade, Wiltshire, they then lived in Sussex and Oxfordshire area before Bursledon. Possible any descendants still live in the Southampton area? I have info about my grandfather John 1879 but so far unable to trace other children. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Rosemary |
