I'm trying to find someone in my direct tree called Samuel Baxter. He was married to an Elizabeth, and had a number of children between the 1740s and 1750s who were all christened in St Leonards Church, Shoreditch, London.
Can't find his birth or marriage and assume he may have moved to London just after getting married.
Would love some help with this,
Thanks, John.

Thanks Heidi,
Sounds like a good idea. I know the church underwent some major work about then, so maybe it closed & they married elsewhere just to make things harder for us! Who knows.
But yes, will take up your suggestion.
Thanks again & good luck with your research.
John.
