Hello, I'm looking for information on the Beamish family of Leicester in the latter half of the c19 and Bulkington, Warks prior to that. Would be very grateful for any help. Kathryn Paterson (nee Beamish) [email protected]

Hello Kathryn, Three years ago you sought info on
the Beamish family. A family of that name enters my
family history based in Sheffield. Edward Beamish
married Charlotte Brown in 1824/25 and died in 1850
both Sheffield events. 1841 census of no use to place
Edwards origins except letter N which indicates he did not come from Sheffield. Died before 1851 census
He was a brazier. His wife Charlotte was born in
York d/o John and Lydia Brown 1804. Entry into my
family history via their daughter Emma who married
my great grandfather Henry Towell, a chair maker.
Married 23/11/1863, Sheffield. Henry died Aug 1871
age 30. Emma born 1842 Sheffield had 2nd marriage
to William Portlock and died Sep Qtr., 1883 Sheffield
Ref.9c 294. Does that fit with your data? Regards
Cyril
