Daughter of William and Sarah Beer, Lucy aged 18 a domestic servant married Abraham Frederick Trice in Patea, South Taranaki, New Zealand 15th January 1885. Lucy had been resident 8 months in Patea, not sure if this is how long she had been in New Zealand. Lucy and Abraham had 7 children Edith, Thomas, Albert, Ernest, Percy, Stanley and Oscar. I can find no record of Lucy's death although my grandmother Edith told the story of having to look after her younger brothers from age 10 which ties in with the birth of her youngest brother. If anyone can help with any information I would appreciate it . Thanks. |
