Does anyone have any information on Lucy Eleanor Benstead (commonly known as Stern)? I know that she was married to Charles Augustus Kimpton at Whaddon, Cambridgeshire, but can't find any information on the date and place of her birth. I would appreciate any information. Thank you.

There are a few trees on ancestry that have Lucy in their tree she was born in litlington which is only a couple of miles from Whadden. There is a lovely old church in Litlington too

Did Charles end up in Australia? as there is a marriage to Maria Page Fuller in 1852 in Adelaide

Death Kensington Victoria 1900 aged 72

Whether this tree is correct or not it looks like a couple of Lucy's children went to Australia and at least three went to America ?

Mum still lives at Duxford, have to take her to see spitfire outside Museum on Sundays, reminds her of her childhood days when it flew overhead in London :-)) Lol, never been in there, even though I was in village 21yrs :-)

Never had any ancestors from the area, but its strange to see so many names from 150 years ago still living in the villiage.

Although I have since found out my mums side came from cottenham and my dads from Baldock before they all moved to London

I'd never been in the Cemetery till Dad died, then came home and looked up old grave names on Ancestry, to see where they were on census, does feel funny, having trod in their footsteps on the streets.
Mum being one of the longest there now, people don't stay anymore, a lot of them are commuters with M11 being nearby.
Sign of the times now I reckon.
