Daftoldbat Report 19 Nov 2007 20:22

The 1881 census gives Joseph's place of birth as Hackney, c1855, living at 22 Marlow Road, Homerton, with his wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth died in 1886, leaving two young children, Elizabeth Mary Ann and Joseph Charles Thomas. Does anyone have any information about Joseph senior, after the death of Elizabeth, please? Family rumour has it that Joseph then disappeared, leaving the children, but I am not convinced that this is true!
Grateful for any help in solving this little mystery,
Sue Wallace
