Trying to find any info on my great,great grandfather, John Bertram who died on 29th March 1891 at Reston, Coldingham. He was 83 yrs old. Think his wife's name was Janet Knox ( but not certain ). His family were all farm workers and lived in the Old Hamstocks, Coldingham & Cockburnspath area. He had a son George Bertram, born 21.05.1837,lived in Cockburnspath & died 31.08.1911. ( he was married to Janet Simpson ) Think some of this family could still be living around Dunbar. ( One daughter, Janet, married Dick Glass ) in Dunbar. other children were George,24.03.1875 ( my grandfather), John 08.05.1862,James 02.09.79, Elizabeth Helen 07.01.77 & Thomas 09.05.69. |
