I am trying to ind information about three of four Bevan brothers. the youngest of the four brothers was Fred, who was my wife's maternal grandfather. I have full details of Fred, but only birth details of his three brothers. The parents were John Bevan and Sarah (nee Rich). The brothers were born and lived at Penyrheol, Panteg or Pontypool in South Wales. I have records of the Bevan family from c 1800 to 1923 where the trail goes cold. My Bevan family were one of a number of Bevan families living at Penyrheol. William Bevan, born 17 Apr 1873. William was licensee of The Lamb Inn in 1923. Harry Bevan, born 20 Oct 1879. George Bevan, born 9 Feb 1882. Fred Bevan, born 13 Feb 1886 and died 17 November 1923. If anyone could supply further information about the three older brothers, I would be extremely grateful. the William Bevan i'm looking for is my great-great grandfather and might have been born around the same time as your William Bevan. he married a Mary Davies and had (to my knowledge) one daughter - Alice Bevan.

hope we can help each other
