Trying to find Brammer

Trying to find information about JOHN BRAMMER, a tailor in Sheffield in 1841 (White Bear Walk). We think he came from Scotland (1841 census shows 'born S'). No more census information as he died in 1846. He married Elizabeth Saynor in 1815. She died in 1826. I do not know whether there are any descendants from that marriage. He married Eliza Ward in 1828 and there are many descendants. I cannot make any progress backwards - no names of John's siblings or parents and doubt about his birthdate - could be 1792-1799. Any help would be welcome.
