Susan Report 11 Feb 2003 23:07

In the early years of the 20th century my grandfather, Percy Brewer, ran a picture framing business on Lavender Hill. In 1911 he abandoned my grandmother and vanished. She was left to bring up 3 daughters and a son on her own. All efforts to find out what happened to Percy have failed. As a result of the publication of the 1901 census I have found that Percy had 2 brothers, Ernest and Sydney, and a sister, Eva. Up until this time, no-one in our family had any knowledge of these other family members. Although it is highly unlikely any of them are still alive, I hope they have left families who may still be in the Wandsworth/Battersea area. I would be delighted to hear from any descendants of Ernest, Sydney, or Eva Brewer. Perhaps they can solve the mystery of what happened to Percy!
