Searching for Daphne Smith who's married name we think is Calabrese. She sailed from Southhampton on the Alexander in 1946 to New York. She is said to have been living in Sherborne, Dorset before sailing. she was in ENSA during the war and is said to have married an American doctor. The Smith family came from Dorset, Corfe Mullen and Sydling St. Nicholas are two of the names mentioned on my tree. She is a cousin of mine and she has quite a lot of cousins around who remember her and would love to find out more about her life in America. Regards Bob and Enid Wood |
