Find Ancestors

Hi Im trying to find my grandmother mary chadwick I think she was born somewhere around 1900 maybe. She went on to marry Thomas Roddy. They had 2 children Colin and Joyce, any help would be appreciated as I know nothing about my dads side at all.

Hi Hilary, I think in the leigh area she married thomas Roddy in1930 at westley, St. Peter, Leigh. I think she may have had brothers called vincent and tom??

I think it was late sixties or early seventies sorry

you could have a look on this free site and see whatbyou think.As they seem to be after 1901 census then you need something to confirm parents names ,so a marriage cert then if it has a fathers name you can ask for a check on a birth cert before you get it. If it doesnt match then you are refunded some of the money.Hope that helps

If this is the correct one then coyuld she have been born in a different part of Lancashire?
A couple of possibiles registered in
Mar. quarter- Wigan
Jun. quarter Bury

There is a Vincent Leslie 1909 -Bury
so perhaps you need to ask any family members that might know a bit more i.e if it is the right death index to start with

You will see if you search there are also Thomas's in these area's

no sorry brother Thomas. Do you have an approx death for Thomas Roddy

my mum seems to think not long after his wife died maybe early seventies after mary died he remarried within 6 months maybe and then died within maybe 12 months. are you annoyed with me yet.
