Lol sorry Janet when I get all excited I cant spell for toffee I cant tell you how happy I am.
Ladykira, you have the right family, Christopher was married to Selina Asbury my grandmother.
Ellen had 6 sisters, Hannah,Lizzie,Amy,Annie,Mary and Harriett, Ellens mothers name,I beleive, was spelt Feby it took me an age to work that one out.
Christopher was my granddad and he had a twin Frederick I didd'nt know about Frederick apparently he attended Christophers funeral(I didd'nt go as I'd just had my son).
The John William you mentioned was killed in action in the 1st world war and is buried in Ribcourt british cemetary, he died on his birthday 30/12/1917 aged 28 which I find very sad but I am also very proud of him.
You know whats really spooky its Bertha marrying an Arthur Salt because I am now a Salt

Omg Janet, Ladykira how do you do it, I thought I'd done all I could you ladies are amazing.
Can you hear me screaming lol you've given evelin a surname I just have to call my cousin in Harrogate please bare with me.
Hiya back again, I think your probably right Janet and Arthur E is Edward after all it would be confusing Arthur dad and Arthur son so the probably referred to him as Edward, so it looks like there were 4 sons and not the 3 we were lead to believe.
I cant get over you guys I am just totally amazed and blown away thank you all so much

Hi Ladykira, thanks for your detective work, most of my Simcocks came from Norton in the Moors moving to Stockton Brooke, Brown Edge areas and the first one seems to be the most likely.
Unfortunately Simcock in the above areas are as common as Smith which makes it quite a pain, I didd'nt know which way to go with Arthur and the same with a couple of his brothers.
Its nice to know that others here have a wealth of expereince and a vast knowledge.
