William Charles Clifford born Wiltshire approx 1835.Died in N.Z. 1910. Went to the goldfields in Australia then onto join the goldrush in New Zealand 1861. Married my scottish Grt Grt Grandmother Margaret MacLaren from Alloa in 1873. They had three sons my G.Grandfather William James born 1874, Peter MacLaren born 1876 and Joseph Alexander born 1878. We dont know who William Charles Cliffords English parents were as his marriage and death certificates don't name them. Some family have said he was sent out to the colonies on remittance. Any help out there would be greatfully appreciated. |
