DearbDavid my grandmother was Francis Matilda Colenso, her grandfather was Richard Trannack Hitchen Colenso, he was a shipwright from Penzance, he went to live in Barrow-In-fURNESS,HE DIED 1878 he brought most of his family with him,some stayed and some returned to Cornwall, there are no people called Colenso left in this area but lots of family connections nice to see the name is still going in Penzance you might be of the same family Iwill give you access to my tree, regards Gillian |
