my children would like to know about their grandparents and other ancestors. The only information that we have is Alfred Henry Collins married to Ruth Miriam Norton in the early 1920's. They had three sons Laurence Alfred born about 1927,Ronald William born about 1931 and Gerald Henry born 1935 - my husband, who sadly died 1997. The family came from the Chelsea area of London. Alfred Henry and two of his sons were upholsterers and owned premises in Fulham where they were very well known. The father of Ruth is purported to have invented the first pre-paid gas meter, which is shown at the Science Museum in London. Any information please. Thank-you Olive Collins |
