Looking for information regarding JOSEPH HART CORBETT born in Edinburgh on 19.01.1886. Address at birth given as 6 Newport Street, Edinburgh. Father - JOHN CORBETT, Mother - JESSIE CAMPBELL

Joseph married MABEL JOHNSON (born 05.10.1886 in Linlithgow) in Edinburgh on 10.11.1906. I cannot find a marriage certificate and on two of their childrens birth certificates the date of marriage is given as 10.11.1905. The had several children:

ALICE born 30.10.1906 (out of wedlock) address at birth: 22 Roman Courts, UPHALL

JOSEPH born 01.02.1913 address at birth: 22 Roman Camp, BROXBURN (died 18.12.1981 Erskine Hospital,.BISHOPTON)

ROSABELLA born 08.09.1915 address at birth: 9 South Waverley Buildings, Edinburgh (Emigrated to Australia in 1955)

JOHN JOHNSON born 11.10.1920 no address noted (my husband's father - Died 17.09.1973)

MATTHEW born 20.11.1921 no address noted (Died 1942)

MABEL born 01.02.1924 no addres noted (moved to Co Antrim, N Ireland after marriage - Died 2006)

WILHEMINA born ? 1924 no further information


Do any of these names or details seem familar to anyone?

I have contact with one of Mabel's daughters and have some information regarding Rosabella's emigration to Australia but otherwise I have hit a brick wall!!

Any information would be very welcome.

I've checked Scotlands People & also found no marriage. Maybe this wedding didn't take place.
