my great grandmother maude grace cox or grace maude cox and her family are eluding me ! her mother is rose glandville or grandville no other info from my family! grace was born around sept 1906-07 no concreat prof on the year as my grandfather says 1906 but on her death certificate it says1907. her father was only known as ted (poss edward or edmund or ted!) all lived in south london grace had 8 brothers and sisters ted, stanley , cyril, marie, ivy, connie (constance, iris and ron. but other than ted met rose while he was in the army and she was a servent in a big house so i have no definate place of birth for them only all there children were born and grew up in south london especily the croyden area. can any one help ive been serching the last 8 hours today and most of the last month im going nuts!!!

my grandmother as my grandada dosn´t remember to much but she said she remember s it cause she always went on about having a french family name

my grandmother was 100 % on the order of birth ted,stanley cyril,grace,marie ,ivy,connie,iris ,ron so any dates are just a bonus

ted could possibly edgar but they were defintly marrid when they had ted jnr as they had a fit about grace becoming pregnent fom the greek tailor down the street from them and threw her out they were very strict about the marriage thing so deffinatly not marrid after 1905

Well hang on Michael.....you seem to have a bit more information on Grace (apart from what has been found on here for you) than you were letting on about in your earlier thread when you apparently knew little or nothing about her.

that sounds the closest in st olave thats in the east end isnt it. area could be right she worked in a big house in the east of london before she marrid

sue ive been at this for hours now today including 2 hour to my nan that tread earlyer today wasn´t about grace it was about linking her son with his father frank butcher i had a little info on grace but mostly silly storys about her nothing concreat. and you try geting family info out of a altzimers mind!!!!
