my grandmother, Susan Green (1884) was Susan Cox before marriage. Susan had 2 brothers - William and Francis an 2 sisters - Maria and Agnes - I have traced her father Francis Cox (1858) married to Agnes Monagh (or Monach), her grandfather Patrick Cox (c1827) married to Margaret McGuire and her great grandfather also Patrick Cox ( c1805) married to Margaret McMillan but can get no furher back with the Cox Line. All of the foregoing activiy took place in Glasgow but indications are that both the Cox's and the Greens migrated to Glasgow from Ireland - possibly Fermanagh or Donegal. Does anyone have info. about any of the Cox family as described please? sue green |
