Im looking for the marriage of florence louisa crocker born 1889 bridgwater somerset.
She married a chamberlain and had a daughter vivien around 1914
I cant find a marriage or a birth for vivien. in england or canada
She became a widow and remarried alfred knight in canada in 1919, but i dont know what year she left england . could anyone help

Are you absolutely sure of these details - there are no births or marriages which fit - anywhere - only Florence's birth in Bridgewater

The only Crocker/Chamberlain marriage I can find is this one and it isn't Florence.
I'm also not getting any details of her having lerft the country.
It's a bit of a puzzle.

I cant find anything exept her birth and her marriage to alfred knight in 1919 in canada, she does show up in the 1930 census in america.
its odd because she must have left the country some how

Hi Paula. This is a bit difficult. I can find the following on 1891 census
Henry Chilcott born Dulverton. Somerset and his family, also living with them
Mary A Crocker. SINGLE 19. NIECE born 1872. and
Florence L Crocker. dau. 2.1889. Living Southside.Bridgewater.

There is another possible family, but the above one gives the second initial for Florence.

I cam find the marriage of John Crocker to Mary Ann Bryant. 1888. Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Dulverton. vol 5c 545.
Do you know when Vivien was born. If so, her Birth certificate should give parents. This should help to find out which family as you work back.

On her marriage licence it says florence chamberlain widow
it gives her birth in bridgwater and her age fits with being born in 1889
it also gives her parents as william crocker and mary james
I know about vivien via her son.But they dont seem to know anything at all

the only crocker /chamberlain i can seem to find for you is .violet J Crocker to Albert E Chamberlain 1913 4th Q at Newbury Hampshire

1891 census they are in wales .1901 census they are back in somerset her parents are shown as john and mary not william?

the year would fit as apparently she had a daughter in 1914,may be she used a different name!

i did see that census for wales ,but because her father was named as william on the marriage licence i didnt think it was them.

Elbert was born in gary texas 1899 died in jefferson county texas 24 dec 1973 second wife was zada mary Roper ,so he divorced vivian, his parents were Thomas Ezra murphy and Lulu Holt

So - was Vivian born in USA then??

i found a tree on ancestry with some info on after looking for the birth myself cant find it reg in british ones but it does say england on the tree ??
