Looks like you have been lucky and though its a late date, freebmd have transcribed the marriage: Using this reference you can buy the certificate from GRO online for £7

Marriages Mar 1926
Blackman Daisy K Strood 2a 1046
Edwards Albert G Strood 2a 1046

AND this looks like Daisy's birth - again, you can buy this certificate to get both parents names and the address where she was born from GRO online for £7. Once you have both parents names you can look for their marriage which will in turn give their fathers names and occupations and so on, working backwards through the census.

First of all you need to get the marriage cert for Daisy and Albert and Helen/Edwin- that will give you the names of their fathers and you can then trace their ancestors back through the census and other certs.

To find the marriage you need to have a reasonable time span - when were the eldest children born and where.

Im looking for information about both my Nans. Daisy Blackman was born in Kent around 1905 & went on to marry Albert George Edwards. They had 7 children together & lived in Halling, Kent. Also i need to find out about Helen Gladwin. She was born in Scotland in 1919 i believe. She moved to Gillingham & married Edwin Scott & had two children. If any body can please help me i would be truly grateful. Many Thanks Tim
