As all the ones you are having problems with are the ones with middle names i wonder if the parents have transposed them, and therefore they were registered with their current middle names as their first names?

I will take a look but it is poss they were not registered.See note below on registrations

1875
Birth and Death Act 1874:
a) Compulsory registration of births (parents/guardians responsible for registration),
b) Fines for non-registration of births/penalties for late registration (42 days to register),
c) For illegitimate births, father must be present at the birth registration for his name to appear on a birth entry in the register,
d) Deaths to be registered within 5 days, instead of 8 as previous,
e) Medical certification in respect of cause of death required.

WayneTracey Report 15 Jan 2009 16:57

It's also possible they were registered under another name?

Is it her first marriage, could they be the children of another man? Could they be illegitimate?

It's very weird how all those with middle names are not visable!

There could maybe be something in this...

I was just wondering if it is at all possible that alice darby born 1870 might of got married to a John warden in 1892. Its just that in the 1901 census there is an alice warden and john warden with a child whom has the middle name easey and I thougt that it might correspond with William Darby and Sarah Easey and there last child was named Herbert Easey Darby but was known by being called Henry.
