a bit of a mystery can anyone put a light on this please ,
Benjamin Avery born around 1809 [maybe Stoke Dameral Devon ]married in 1850 st Johns Newport I S W ,Louisa Georgina Dare born around 1828,
some records have her as Dear some have her as Ramsbottom
she died aged 32 yrs in 1860 on the Isle of Wight Hampshire,
but her parents were John and Elizabeth Reeves.
they Ben/Louisa had children = Louisa Elizabeth Avery 1851 =mother Ramsbottom

Henry 1855
Frederick 1855 both born carisbrook Isle of Wight ,mother as Reeves
Emma Mary born 185/8/9
can anyone say maybe Louisa was Adopted or had she been married twice befor becoming an Avery .when Louisa Died Ben eventualy lived inPortsmouth ,but not till a bit later
has anyone got them in their tree or knows a little of them
i have tryed the search button .i have seen the 1881 census regards to the place they were living but obviously Louisa was past away long befor this
did Ben Marry again
i have rcords that Henry was living in Abingdon Rd Southsea in 1901/1911.this house eventualy became my partners in 1964 Henry was his Grandad ,im helping with his tree .he is an Avery to.but its Louisa who is the real mystery to know why the different names ??? If you look on freebmd, you'll see that there are no recorded marriages for Benjamin after 1850

Many thanks you have put a different light on this for me now .i have talked about her befor but only as a member of a family i have not asked the questions of her names befor i have been trying to solve this for 3 years ,but thought i may ask for help .the other person who may have asked maybe Janet Avery .as she had the same problem but im not aware she had posted anything like what i ask ,many thanks for your help Janny [Janice ]

Can you give us any census references to back up your dates etc.....I can't find any of them in 1851 or 1861

You need the marriage cert - without it, you, and everyone else, are floundering around in the dark

If you google in Isle of Wight Family History they have a BMD searchable database
