Trying to find Dearden

James father of James Henry Dearden (1851? - 1906) James Henry came to the Northeast of England in the 1850s/60s - he married Violet Thompson in Nov 1870 n Newcastle upon Tyne. On the marriage cert he says he is a widower, in the census info of 1881 he gives his age as 30 (violet = 38) at his death his age is 64 giving a date of birth of 1842. Personally I go with the 1851/2 year of birth. His place of birth also varies but I believe he is originally from the Yorkshire area. He gives his father's name as James and occupation file grinder which ties up with the Yorkshire rather than Lancashire side of the family - possibly Sheffield area. There are a few James Henries in that area but no match so far. Any help greatfully received. |
