Hello,

Can anyone help with information on Frederick Cecil DENSON, he married Leonie Ruth PRYOR 1915 Sydney, NSW Australia.

His parents were Horace Finley DENSON & Mary HARMER.

Frederick could have married a second time.

Thank You.

have you his marriage certificate or transcription. This is the info you need from the NSW BDM site. Transcription is cheaper.

4910/1928 DENSON FREDERICK C MOORE BEATRICE N E SYDNEY

Here is the second marriage. Only way you will know if it is correct is to obtain the marriage details. If you are not sure about your options please let me know and I will explain. Won't do so just in case I'm preaching to the converted.

Hello to all.

Thank you for your contribution regarding the Frederick Denson inquiry.

I have his first marriage certificate and it states that he was born in Sydney, NSW Australia at time of his marriage in 1915 he was 24 years.

Have not as yet purchased the second marriage certificate.

Will attempt to search more using different spellings.

Also may I ask who is Cynthia West, you see, I had not forgotten.

Thank You.

No Frederick Cecil Denson birth in England/Wales.

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

Is that a search you have also done? You knew the details of the second marriage before AuntyS did the search ...

Also no Denson-Harmer marriages in England/Wales, and no record for a Horace F Denson.

For info re possible age for FCD:

4148/1887
PRYOR LEONIE R
ALBERT
EMMELINE
BALMAIN

i..e. he was not likely younger than Leonie, making him 30ish or so when they married?

Yes you may ask who is Cynthia West. However I have forgotten. Did a search on GR and came up with some interesting results.

Have also checked Queensland for Frederick's birth with nil results. Victoria BDM is still out of action.

Am going to search UK for Fredrick's Birth.

Edit: Thanks Janey preliminary search showed just that.

Thank goodness the cavalry has arrived.

Have been thinking Alfred for Fred instead of Frederick.

Unusual second names, Cecil and Finley are not coming up

Wonder if Scotland is a possibility.

There's no death for any of these people in NSW, including Leonie -- it will be interesting to see whether FCD was a widower when he married the second time.

Coming from where in 1909??

... Perhaps they traveled with a certain Ms. Kimberley. ;)

Aunty -- per the known records, it's DENSON, not DENISON, no?

London (will double check that). Exactly same time frame. Wrong boat.

Am also checking out electoral roll stuff again.

I looked at ScotlandsPeople for marriage/birth for Horace, birth for Frederick .. no go.

I'm of the suspicion that Frederick's last name wasn't Denson. Not that this finds us any useful records anyway.

I also tried South African archives for Horace Denson, also no go.

Working on the assumption that the name is pretend. How about this lot

5339/1879 TYE HERBERT FREDERICK N HORACE MARY ANN NEWTOWN

32318/1890 HOLLAMBY FREDERICK W HORACE H MARY I ST LEONARDS

Correctish name for mother and father and correct given name for child. By way off beam with surnames. Drawing very long bow.

I favour the second name but that is just ridiculous to imagine.

No Horace Denson at CWGC war deaths site.
