fathers family -Downes

I am trying to find more details of my fathers family. He was Charles Henry Downes, born 25th August 1916 deceased age 62yrs. His parents were George Samuel Downes and Leah Catherine Downes, nee Anthony/s, married on May 20th 1906 in Birmingham. His father - my great grand father was also a George Samuel Downes and was at the time of his sons' wedding a boatman [1906]. Would dearly love to find out more about the family as I lost touch at the age of 18 months and recently discovered that CH Downes [ my father] tried to contact me when I returned to the West Midlands. |
