I've been trawling around with Mrs Draper who I now know as Mrs Mary Ann Draper who did live in High Street, Kensworth, so she probably did admit my grandmother to her destiny. Similarly, there are several Paul I Drapers, none with a Janet. There is a Janet D Draper, but not in Hertfordshire (no results when using Hertfordshire as location).

That was what I did, Christine -- searched for Draper-Sparke births and that was the only one. Had there been others, I would have reported them!

But I might eat my words ... there is a Draper-Spark birth, now that I think to look for that possible error, and no apparent marriage to account for it. I'll follow him through and if he appears to be living will PM the info.

-- traced him through, found what seems to be a valid chain to his son now in Florida, sent facebook links etc.
